The more things change
There is some days when I’m on campus that I think about the women who came here before me and what life must have been like for them during their time at Mills. I feel so fortunate to work in a place filled with so much history and I’m always curious to learn even more each day. One of my favorite spots to sit on campus and enjoy my lunch or write in my journal is a bench and underneath it are colorful stones with the year stamped on them spread out in an octagon shape. Sometimes I sit there and think about the women who came before me and cleared the path for me, I wish I could sit and talk with them and see what they thought about all our advancements and how we’re still fighting the same old battles.
