I left a piece of my heart in San Francisco
If you really want to experience San Francisco, walk around. Yes, I said it ,walk around the city of San Francisco. On Saturday A friend and I rode Bart into the city and walked around instead of driving and I have to say it made me feel nostalgic for the way San Francisco used to be. Since moving to the bay area as a young adult San Francisco has become a place that is hectic and chaotic and usually a place I don’t come to very often. As a kid, San Francisco was a magical place that my dad took me to during the holidays to see the lights and decorations. It was where I could experience the magic of FAO Schwarz toys, a three story Sanrio store, and the antics of street performers. As a kid I never felt scared by the city but intrigued by all the wonders it held. I wanted to live there and be apart of all the comings and goings of the city. San Francisco was mesmerizing to my child eyes and I felt more magic than a busy chaotic city. Walking around on Saturday I felt the excitement I used to get as a kid, and I realized that there is still that magic and wonder in San Francisco if you’re willing to stop and take a second to look past the facade.
