Looking to the future

Today was my last day at home before I start my new job and I spent the day doing errands and getting ready for tomorrow. I felt all of the emotions today but the most prevalent one was my excitement for this next chapter in my life. I don’t know what the future will hold for me but I’m ready to jump in feet first and face it without fear.

Now that sounds all well and good but actually putting those words into practice is much harder. Thankfully I picked up Brene Brown’s “Daring Greatly” recently and I think it was the perfect book to read in these last few days before starting my new job. Tomorrow I will face my new challenge head on and I will do while daring greatly. I may succeed or fail at this new job but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that I tried despite being uncomfortable or afraid.
